Take Flight to the Future of Creativity

The mission of the School of Design is to cultivate student creativity so that they can combine commercial viability with artistic expression. The curriculum is designed to reach this goal by teaching across disciplines, humanities, and social science. In order to prepare students to be professionals in the digital media fields, the program implements project oriented programs and institute-industry educational programs, In addition, the program strives to establish an inherent identity by instilling traditional aesthetics into modern design concepts.

PHOTOGRAPHY

Expanding the Boundaries and Geography of Photography and Tapping into a New Era of Photography

The Photography Program fosters student artists who can contribute to arts and culture and the development of the industry by presenting a view of the world that is unique to Korea’s traditions. A photographer must possess a solid vision as well as technological expertise. In addition, a photographer must bear the capabilities to be a driving force in the information age of the 21st century. Cultivate emerging artists who possess a wealth of imagination and skills that utilize new media technologies that will integrate art, science and technology for the global stage. The Photography Program aims to foster student artists who will possess the practical ability to work across disciplines by deepening one’s understanding of photography and extending the knowledge to design, moving image, new technology, and planning. The program establishes a network with companies, institutions, and experts who of the field of photography, culture, art, and industry, and develops coordinated education and collaboration projects to hone students’ practical job skills required by the industry.

SPATIAL DESIGN

Pondering over Space and Time

The Interior Design Program educates the students with specialized knowledge and skills to improve quality of life. To become a comprehensive designer, one must develop artistic proficiency, practical skills, and sound character through creative education. In the first year, students receive general education of interior design and learn of the importance of improving the environment. In the second year, the education revolves around developing creativity by exploring various methods of spatial design. During the third year, the students apply interior design theory with practical solutions to be prepared for the industry.
