The AFA program offers 15 majors across 6 schools, the BFA program offers 2 programs, the MFA program offers advanced innovation convergence program(X-Lab).

※ Only those with a Associate degree or higher in the field can apply for the Bachelor’s of Fine Arts Program.

Admissions Guide

Type 1. Foreign nationals whose parents are both foreign nationals 

1. (Nationality) The applicant and the applicant’s parents are both of non-Korean nationality.

2. (Academic Qualifications) Applicants who have graduated or are expected to graduate from a regular high school in Korea or overseas

3. (Korean Language Proficiency) Applicants who satisfy one of the conditions below.

 ① Acquired Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK) Level 2 or higher 

 ② Completed Intermediate Level 1 or higher at the King Sejong Institute or Sejong Korean language Assessment 296 points or higher

 ③ Completed Level 4 or higher at a Korean language institute/school run by a university in Korea 

 ※ Exemption 

Applicants who have graduated (or are expected to graduate) from a regular high school in Korea are exempt from submitting proof of Korean language proficiency. However, they are required to submit a Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK) score report of Level 3 or above within one year of enrollment.

Type 2. Applicants who have completed regular primary and secondary education outside Korea  

1. (Academic Qualifications) Applicants who have completed regular primary and secondary education outside Korea

2. (Korean Language Proficiency) Foreign nationals who satisfy one of the conditions below  

 ① Acquired Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK) Level 2 or higher 

 ② Completed Intermediate Level 1 or higher at the King Sejong Institute or Sejong Korean language Assessment 296 points or higher 

 ③ Completed Level 4 or higher at a Korean language institute/school run by a university in Korea

Important for Korean Language Proficiency

  1. In case of foreign national applicants who have graduated (or are expected to graduate) from a regular high school in Korea are exempt from submitting proof of their Korean language proficiency. However, they are required to submit a Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK) score report of Level 3 or above within one year of enrollment.
  2. In case of foreign national applicants who submit a certificate of completion from King Sejong Institute or a score report of Sejong Korean language Assessment or a Korean language institute/school run by a university in Korea, they are required to submit a Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK) score report of Level 3 or above within one year of enrollment.
  3. In case of foreign national applicants who submit a Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK) score report of Level 2, they must complete at least 300 hours of Korean language class in a year at the university after entering the school and submit a score report of level 3 or higher of the TOPIK within a year. In the case of external consignment Korean language class may be charged extra.

 

 

 

Note 1) Documentation of academic credentials should be in one of the three forms listed below

① Apostille authenticated documents (transcript and graduation certificate for primary and secondary education)

② Consular legalized documents (either by a Korean Consul in the country of the applicant’s citizenship or by a Consul to Korea from the country of the applicant’s citizenship)

③ Transcripts and certificates issued by the China Academic Degrees and Graduate Education Information (www.cdgdc.edu.cn)

2. TOPIK (Test of Proficiency in Korean)

 – Administrator : National Institute for International Education (NIIED), Ministry of Education in Korea

 – Test Results : TOPIK results are valid for two(2) years from the time of test result announcement
